First-Time Candidate Steve Hilton Dominates Fundraising as 30,000 Small-Dollar Donors Fuel Challenge to One-Party Rule

SACRAMENTO, CA — Steve Hilton today announced dominant fundraising results that underscore the growing momentum to end 16 years of failed Democrat one-party rule.

During the most recent reporting period, Hilton raised over $4.1 million, more than any other candidate in the race has publicly disclosed so far.

Overall, the campaign has now raised $5.7 million, powered by more than 30,000 individual donors, the overwhelming majority giving small-dollar contributions.

“These results show we are leading this race and leading a grassroots political revolution in California,” said Steve Hilton. “After 16 years of corrupt Democrat one-party rule, California has become a place where the rich get richer, but regular working people get screwed. That’s why tens of thousands of Californians are now funding this movement to end 16 years of corrupt one-party rule and stop the damage it has done to California.”

“This campaign was built from the ground up. I’ve never run for office before, but in record time, we built a major small-dollar fundraising operation backed by working Californians who are sick of high costs, corrupt government, and Democrat failure. This is a grassroots political revolution to smash the corrupt system that has hurt working Californians in such a cruel and heartless way for so long.”
