Steve Hilton Releases New Campaign Video and Anthem “Golden Again,” Launches 2026 Campaign and Announces Statewide Town Hall Tour
SACRAMENTO, CA — Steve Hilton today released a new campaign video featuring an original song titled “Golden Again,” as he formally launched his 2026 campaign for Governor of California and announced a new statewide town hall tour.
“Everything’s golden again, California. That’s what I’m dreaming, my friends,” the song declares, capturing the central theme of Hilton’s campaign. A call to build a California that is affordable again, safe again, and works for the people who live here.
“In 2026, we will end 16 years of disastrous one-party rule, take back our state, fight corruption, cut the bloat, and make California Golden Again,” Hilton said.
Beginning in early 2026, Hilton will travel across California on a statewide town hall tour, meeting directly with voters in communities large and small.
“These town halls are about listening, not lecturing,” Hilton said. “Californians know what is not working. They also know what this state could be. My job is to bring people together around a practical, optimistic plan to move California forward.”
Hilton added, “Affordability is not impossible. Safety is not optional. Accountability is not radical. These are basic expectations people should be able to have of their government. In 2026, Californians will have a chance to choose a different direction, and that is what this campaign is about.”
The campaign anthem ‘Golden Again’ was written by Kevin Farrell, performed and produced by California-grown country artist Mark Mackay.
